Temporary closedown of regulated markets in Greece / temporary ban on short selling transactions on listed financial instruments

On 29 June 2015, the Hellenic Capital Market Commission decided the temporary close down of the Athens Exchange (ATHEX), the Alternative Market (‘EN.A’) and the Bank of Greece Securities’ Secondary Market (‘HDAT’) until 6 July 2015. Consequently, the HCMC, following an opinion issued by ESMA and in accordance with Article 20 of the Short Selling Regulation, decided the temporary prohibition of performing transactions on all financial instruments listed on ATHEX and EN.A., that would create a short position on such financial instruments.
