Successful representation in court of several creditors in the Marinopoulos’ restructuring petition
01/11/2016 In October 2016, Souriadakis Tsibris, represented several major creditors of Marinopoulos S.A. who intervened in the latter’s restructuring petition before the Athens court of first instance.
The much awaited court decision was issued on January 16 2017 and inter alia accepted some important arguments of our clients regarding the release of personal guarantees given by the shareholders for the debt of Marinopoulos S.A. The court decided to amend the restructuring plan in a manner not allowing the release of such personal guarantees toward our firm’s clients. It must be mentioned that among dozens of creditor interventions, Souriadakis Tsibris intervention was one of the very few that were successful in a manner affecting the court ruling.
