Representation of ALTER EGO S.A in the tender for the granting of nationwide general information broadcasting content licenses

In 2016, the Ministry of Digital Policy, Telecommunications and Media performed for the first time in Greece a tender for the award of four licenses for free to air content providers. The tender was annulled by the Council of State and a new process was initiated in November 2017 by the National Council for Radio and Television (NCRTV) for the award of seven licenses. Five licenses have already been granted to other major media companies, while Alter Ego participates in the tender for the acquisition of the sixth license. The matter has received considerable publicity in Greece and presents numerous complex legal issues related both to media and corporate law. Souriadakis Tsibris also represented Alter Ego in the first tender in 2016.
