Greek capital controls lifted

Pursuant to Article 86 of the recent Law No 4624/29-8-2019, the capital controls in place since 18 July 2015 were abolished in their entirety, with effect from 1 September, 2019.
As a result, transfers of funds abroad, as well as transfers of custody on financial instruments to non-Greek custodians are now entirely free of any capital control restrictions.
